i got a new deck of them today as part of a trade. i'm litterally only 5 cards off the whole deck being super rare or higher :3

destiny heroes, the best deck . used by aster, the best duelist . screw konami for making disc commander's effect generic . if he could only be pulled from the grave by d-heroes ONLY, we'd have ourselves a playable archetype . <3 Bloo-D, a.k.a. Plasma .

Yusei just had easier opponents, he would probably lose to yuma, i like the cat girl from zexal and joey wheeler from the original series

yusei actually shouldva lost to team unicorn or whoever they were by deckout . and name some of yugi's most challenging opponents ... i cant think of any . there were tons of really powerful guys yusei faced . zone, aporia, ragnarok, antinomy, etc. altho no matter what yugi will always be the darling of yugioh .

The cat girl is just badass, yeah she has lost every duel ive seen her in but i love her deck and she does extremely well the only reason she loses to the dog is because he basicly had an entire hand of the ultimate summon comboes and then the perfect back line to stop everything she was going to do like a derp.

My favorite decks are tied between 2 Elemental Heros and Crystal Beast. Even in the anime Jaden and Jesse were the best duelist because they both showed what theyre motto was "heart of the cards" from when yugis grandpa preached it... the New guy sucks just for the fact xyz cards are overpowered common back in the days of gx and original yugioh fusion's are where its at lol

Yay Fusions! -hugs Gemknight Deck-

XYZs compared to Fusion. Im going to compare 2 randomly found XYZ and FUSION card to test if they are overpowered.

XYZ: Phantom Buttefly. 2 level 4's, once per turn you can remove 1 xyz material to change 1 opponents defence monster into attack and it loses 600 attack.

Fusion: Blaze Fenix The Burning Bombardment Bird, 1 pyro + 1 machine, Once per turn, during your Main Phase: You can inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each card on the field. This card cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect.

So in comparison. Xyz gets 2 times to use its effect, Blaze Fenix, could easily be fused by 2 level 1 monsters if neeeded, can burn every single turn its alive.

So in finallity, two time enemy controller with weakening effect, or, Burn like crazy,

Fusion>Xyz. Dont call a set of cards overpowered unless you actually know what your talking about

valky that was a terrible example . what shenron is saying is that u need a spell card and at least 2 monsters to summon a fusion monster, while xyz monsters just require 2 monsters . xyz monsters result in less minuses and are much more versatile as far as summoning them goes . 2 lvl 3 or 4 monsters can get u a ton of different xyz monsters with a wide variety of effects . the only versatile fusion deck that i can think of is e heroes . while e heroes sure are powerful, xyz monsters are just too easy to summon . at least synchros need a tuner . and while i like fusion monsters as much as the next guy, right now xyz > fusion in almost all cases .

In my opinion yeah xyz's are more powerful but there effects are limited in use, if you wish to increase the effect use then you have to take cards out of your deck in exchange for cards like xyz unit and other such cards, and once its effect has been wasted your forced to basicly xyz another, a fusions effect can be used each turn when possible and some fusions can be brutal, i can xyz into anycard in known existance and still be annihilated by super poly, its the skill of a fusion summon compared to the skill of xyz summoning, which depending on the deck are about matched

and super poly is an e-hero card . and not every fusion card is a trigger effect that u get to use every turn . some fusions are certainly better than xyz's like naturia exterio . but then again, a vylon disigma and many others can take out a naturia exterio . so i reiterate, xyz monsters are simply able to be summoned in any deck . fusion monsters are only ever used in fusion-based decks, like e-heroes or gemknights . (save instant fusion cards) and while fusion monsters ARE the ace monsters of their decks, xyz monsters can be played in non-xyz based decks . so u wouldnt be running an xyz unit or other xyz support but u can still pull a utopia out of nowhere that can help u win the game . idk i guess ive made my point .

Ive pulled off more wins by going into a fusion even in my xyz/sync psychic deck, yeah xyz's are powerful but in my opinion nothing beats a last minute synchro fusion into ultimate axon kicker, or, dragonknight draco equise, they have power and abilities far outwaying xyz monsters and can easily turn a duel around, fusions as a turn about card are usually pretty powerful, i can guarentee with konami's style of making fusions more powerful than anything we will see an xyz fusion at some point

yes ive thought about that before . im sure its only a matter of time . they did it with synchroes after all .

The concept behind fusions is combining the strongest monsters to make them even more powerful at a cost.
The concept for synchro is that a well combined (tuned) army makes 1 powerful unit instead of just a mass a weaker monsters
The concept for xyz is that fighting alongside someone of equal skill (level) will make them work perfectly together.

By that logic fusions will always be 1 step ahead of anything else because they will fuse the already powerful synchros or xyz monsters into more powerful monsters at the cost of losing the powerful synchro or xyz. but combined with set cards like XYZ reborn or Call of the haunted the xyz/synchro can be recovered to continue the fight alongside the fusion.

On dn the otherday i banished 1 stardust and 1 utopia to fusion summon dragon knight draco equise just for the luls of fusing with an xyz
